Drop The Alps, organised by Rares Turtoi, Innsbruck, Austria, hello@dropthealps.com, is the controller for personal data processed through this website under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

Registration data (name, email, phone, country, date of birth, optional gender), cycling experience, bike details, emergency contact details, optional medical and allergy information, social profiles, payment confirmation data, and contact form submissions. Server logs record IP address, browser and time of access.

Performance of the participation contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) for registration, tracking and rider communication. Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) for accounting and tax records. Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for website security and event media. Explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)) for health and allergy information, used only for safety and catering.

Payment providers, live tracking providers, email and hosting providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Registration and safety data is retained for the duration of the event and up to three years thereafter. Accounting records are retained for seven years as required by Austrian law.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Requests: hello@dropthealps.com. Photographs and video captured during the event may be used for event documentation and promotion. Riders may object to the use of identifiable images by writing to us at any time.
