Refund Policy

Under the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Transactions Act (FAGG), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services scheduled for a specific date. The terms below apply instead and are offered voluntarily.

Participation in the 2026 Soft Launch is free of charge. A refundable security deposit of €30 is required to secure a participant's place. The deposit is collected exclusively to reduce last-minute cancellations and no-shows, as participant numbers are strictly limited to 30. It is not an event entry fee. This policy applies only to the 2026 Soft Launch and does not automatically apply to future editions of Drop The Alps.

The €30 deposit is refunded if the participant checks in and starts the event, or cancels their registration more than 7 days before the official event start. Refunds are processed within 14 days following the event, to the same payment method wherever possible.

The deposit is not refunded if the participant fails to attend the event (no-show), cancels 7 days or fewer before the event start, provides false registration information, or is removed from the event due to a breach of the event rules.

More than 90 days before the start: 70% of the registration fee refunded. Between 90 and 30 days: 40% refunded. Less than 30 days before the start: no refund. Requests must be sent in writing to hello@dropthealps.com.

A place may be transferred to another rider up to 30 days before the start, subject to organiser approval and an administration fee.

If the event is cancelled by the organiser, riders receive a credit for the following edition or a refund of the registration fee less unavoidable costs already incurred. Cancellation caused by force majeure, official orders or extreme weather may result in a partial refund only.

Optional donations are voluntary contributions and are non-refundable.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 30 days. Payment provider fees are non-refundable.
