1. Scope

These terms govern participation in Drop The Alps, organised by Rares Turtoi, Innsbruck, Austria. By submitting a registration, the rider accepts these terms in full.

2. Entry and contract

A registration is an application only. A participation contract is formed when the organiser confirms the place in writing and payment has been received. Places are personal and may be transferred only with prior written approval.

3. Nature of the event

Drop The Alps is not a race and is not timed for competitive ranking. It is an unsupported individual ride on public roads and paths. Riders must comply with the Austrian Road Traffic Act (StVO), local access rules and nature protection regulations at all times.

4. Rider requirements

Riders must be at least 18 years old, in good health, adequately insured, and carry all mandatory equipment. The organiser may refuse a start or withdraw a rider on safety grounds.

5. Route changes and cancellation

The organiser may alter, shorten, postpone or cancel the route or the event for reasons of weather, safety, official orders or force majeure. In the event of cancellation, the Refund Policy applies.

6. Liability

The organiser is liable only for intent and gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded except for injury to life, body or health. Riders participate entirely at their own risk.

7. Governing law and jurisdiction

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the rider's country of residence remain unaffected. Place of jurisdiction is Innsbruck, Austria, to the extent legally permissible.
